Betty, real name Miranda Moresome has been studying the art of the Vent for over twenty years but was absolute crap until she hit on the novel approach of wearing a Burga during her stage act. Thus covering the one fatal flaw in her routine - her lips moved and she could not speak properly. Changing from her previous stage name - Gottle of Geer Gerty - to Betty Burqa was the final move that sealed her chance of international fame. Freed from having to keep her lips still and 'throw' her voice discreetly, Betty was able to explore new vistas that had never been tried by traditional vents. She is able to sing all 16 verses of Billy the Beautiful Bouncing Bubble Bee, pronounce the Queen's english perfectly and smoke her favourite cigars on stage without the theatre management knowing.
